Logo Design and Name Genoration

The original hot sauce “Li’l D’s Hot Tongue” from Li’l D’s Provisions is a very flavorful, but spicy hot sauce. It is not meant to burn you up, but it is not for the faint of heart. The second sauce that she created was “XXX”. This is a much hotter version of the original, made with peppers like Scotch Bonnets or Carolina Reapers (depending on the season and availability). Danielle came to me when she was coming up with her newest, most approachable flavor, a strawberry jalapeno. The flavor starts off very sweet but ends with a pretty big spicy kick. We brainstormed some ideas together. I love good alliterations, so I started throwing out some names that began with ‘Sweet”. I have always been very into Greek and Roman mythology, so when I came up with the idea for the name “Sweet Siren”, we were both extremely excited about the possibilities. Sirens were known in stories like The Odyssey for luring sailors to their death with their beautiful songs. The idea of something being very enticing and then literally burning you afterward felt so perfect to describe the flavor. The design fits the flavor and the brand owner perfectly, with her love for mermaids and strong female characters. We are both proud to say “Sweet Siren” was their best seller at the Fiery Foods Festival last year.
